The Stone Show’s Heritage Hub offers free specialist conservation advice from leading experts, alongside inspiring case studies and a dynamic forum for sharing knowledge, experience, and best practice. Supporting informed decisions, the Hub helps visitors select the appropriate stone for building repair and heritage projects. Stone is a vital part of the conservation sector, supported by specialists committed to safeguarding the UK’s built heritage.
The Hub is supported by Historic England and the English Stone Forum, with partner organisations including the Institute of Conservation (ICON), Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB), and the Institute of Historic Building Conservation (IHBC).
Visitors to the show are warmly invited to come along to Stand C20 to meet the experts, ask questions, and benefit from the wealth of knowledge and guidance available. Whether you’re working on a conservation project or simply interested in traditional building materials, the Heritage Hub is a must-visit!
IHBC
The Institute of Historic Building Conservation (IHBC) is a leading professional body for built and historic environment practitioners working for the conservation, care, regeneration and future of the country's built heritage. The Institute exists to establish, develop and maintain the highest standards of conservation practice, to support the effective protection and enhancement of the historic environment and to promote heritage-led regeneration and access to the historic environment for all.

SPAB
Offering information, publications and free, impartial technical advice on the care and repair of old buildings, the SPAB offers guidance on subjects ranging from controlling dampness in solid walls that need to 'breathe' to improving energy efficiency and the use of lime mortars.
It holds short courses and runs a unique six-month training scheme for young craftspeople. The SPAB is the UK's oldest, largest and most technically expert building conservation charity.
ICON
Icon is a charity championing heritage conservation, and the membership body for the conservation profession. We work to protect, preserve, and promote our shared cultural heritage by cultivating skilled conservation professionals, fostering meaningful collaboration across the sector, and delivering public benefit through engagement and advocacy.
Historic England
Historic England is the lead body and government advisor about England's historic built environment. It protects and champions the historic sites that help define England as a nation, preserving the stories they tell, the ideas they represent and the people who lived and worked among them.

The English Stone Forum
The English Stone Forum brings together nine key organisations: British Geological Survey, Building Research Establishment, Historic England, Institute of Historic Building Conservation, Heritage Lottery Fund, National Stone Centre, Stone Federation Great Britain, Stone Roofing Association, and the Mineral Products Association. Together, they promote public interest in England’s stone-built heritage, encourage the use of English stone, and work to ensure its availability for conservation and new construction projects across the country.
